In one line
Hold the line with up to three friends against ever bigger waves, with perks, bosses, revives and push-to-talk voice chat.
In one paragraph
Holdout Squad is a co-op wave survival game for one to four players. Creatures pour into a walled arena, a city or a container dock from every side, and each wave is bigger than the last, with a boss every fifth wave. Between waves every player picks one of three perks: damage, fire rate, health, speed, regeneration, piercing shots, a shotgun or armour. Downed teammates can be revived by standing beside them, and a push-to-talk voice channel keeps the team talking. Play top down or in first person; players in either view share one match. There are no accounts, no ads and no purchases in this version.
Features
- One to four players in the same match, on phone or keyboard.
- Top-down and first-person views, switchable at any time.
- Five enemy types: grunt, runner, brute, spitter (ranged) and the titan boss.
- Eight perks offered three at a time after every wave; rifle and shotgun.
- Revive teammates; enemies scale with the number of players.
- Push-to-talk voice chat that is relayed live and never recorded; mute any player.
- Three maps with cover that blocks movement and shots.
- Heal items that appear at random moments and places and vanish if not taken.
- A list of the best runs per map; no accounts.
- Settings for look sensitivity, camera distance, volume and microphone.
